Sage 50 US Integration

Zynk's Sage 50 US integration connects Sage 50 U.S. Edition, the desktop accounting product formerly known as Peachtree, to the ecommerce, CRM and shipping platforms around it. Sales orders, invoices, credit memos, receipts and purchase invoices import automatically, while inventory, prices, quotes and customer records export, so US businesses stop retyping transactions into Sage 50.

Benefits

Why businesses connect Sage 50 US

Invoices and credit memos in step

Store orders import as sales invoices and refunds as customer credit memos, using order references you can trace, so receivables in Sage 50 match the store and every return is easy to find.

Inventory and prices online

Inventory quantities and item prices export from Sage 50 to Shopify, BigCommerce and other stores, so shoppers see what you can actually ship at the price your accounting records hold.

Receipts and payments posted for you

Customer receipts and vendor payments import into Sage 50 with the invoices they settle, which keeps receivables and payables current without a weekly catch-up session.

The right sales tax ID every time

Sage 50 builds each sales tax ID from one or more agencies, such as a state and a county. Zynk maps the tax on incoming orders to the right ID, so collected tax reports correctly.

No SDK project on your side

Sage 50 U.S. Edition runs on the desktop, and outside applications reach it through a Sage SDK that developers apply for. Zynk manages the connection to your company, so your team never starts an SDK build.

Orders ready to ship

Sales orders export from Sage 50 to ShipStation, so warehouse staff print labels from complete order details instead of copying addresses out of the accounting system.

The problem

Why integrate Sage 50 US?

Sage 50 sits at the centre of many US small businesses, but the selling happens elsewhere: on Shopify or BigCommerce, in a CRM, through a shipping app. Without integration every invoice, refund and receipt is entered twice, inventory counts drift and sales tax depends on someone picking the right ID by hand.

Without integration

  • Store orders retyped as Sage 50 invoices at the end of each day
  • Refunds handled in the store but never recorded as credit memos
  • Inventory counts in Sage 50 and online that never agree
  • Stock count corrections keyed by hand in two places
  • Quotes rewritten in Sage 50 after sales has already sent them

With Zynk

  • Orders import as sales orders or invoices automatically
  • Customer credit memos import alongside the original invoices
  • Inventory quantities export from Sage 50 to every store
  • Inventory adjustments import from the system that recorded them
  • Quotes import from the CRM so nobody types them twice

How it works

How the Sage 50 US integration works

  1. Step 1: Connect the company

Zynk connects to your Sage 50 U.S. Edition company and to each store, CRM or shipping app involved. Your edition and release are checked during scoping, so the workflows suit Pro, Premium or Quantum.

  2. Step 2: Map items, customers and tax

Item IDs, customer and vendor IDs, GL accounts and sales tax IDs are matched between systems. Where a store SKU differs from the Sage 50 item ID, a mapping takes care of it.

  3. Step 3: Trial with recent orders

We run a batch of recent orders, refunds and receipts through the workflows, then compare invoice totals, credit memos and sales tax in Sage 50 with you before going live.

  4. Step 4: Automate with alerts

Approved workflows run on a schedule you choose. Exceptions, such as an item ID missing from Sage 50, raise an alert so they can be fixed without holding up other orders.

Sage 50 US integration FAQs

Is Sage 50 US the same as Peachtree?
Yes. Sage renamed Peachtree Accounting to Sage 50 in 2013, and the U.S. Edition continues that product line. Zynk's Sage 50 US connector is built for it specifically, separate from the UK and Canadian editions, which are different products.
Will BigCommerce and Shopify orders post to Sage 50 US as invoices?
Yes. Zynk imports BigCommerce and Shopify orders into Sage 50 as sales orders or invoices, can record refunded orders as customer credit memos, and exports inventory quantities and prices back to the store. WooCommerce and Magento connect in a similar way.
Are store refunds recorded as credit memos in Sage 50 US?
Yes. Customer credit memos import into Sage 50 US from your store or order system, so refunds show in receivables rather than being netted off invoices. Customer and vendor credit memos can also export to other systems for reporting.
How does the integration handle US sales tax?
Sage 50 U.S. Edition uses sales tax IDs made up of one or more agencies. During setup we map the tax collected by each channel to the matching ID, so invoices imported by Zynk carry the right tax and your sales tax reports stay accurate.
Can stock counts from a warehouse system adjust Sage 50 US inventory?
Yes. Zynk can import inventory items and inventory adjustments into Sage 50, for example after a count in a warehouse system, and export inventory quantities and prices to your sales channels so every system works from the same figures.
Is there an API for Sage 50 U.S. Edition?
Not a cloud REST API. Sage 50 U.S. Edition is desktop software, and outside applications connect through Sage's SDK. Zynk manages that connection for you, so orders, invoices and inventory move without your team building or supporting integration code.
How do Sage 50 US sales orders reach ShipStation?
Zynk exports them from Sage 50 US into ShipStation, where your team buys and prints labels. This suits businesses that take phone or trade orders in Sage 50 and want them in the same shipping queue as web orders.
What affects the cost of connecting Sage 50 US?
Cost depends on the systems you connect, the records you move and how much tailoring the workflows need. Zynk's plans are listed on the pricing page, and for bigger projects our team scopes the work and quotes before anything is built.
