Griffin Technology Group automates invoicing, expenses and procurement between ConnectWise and Sage 50

Griffin Technology Group (GTG) has spent 25 years as the outsourced IT department and technology partner for small and mid-sized businesses and organisations. Its clients range from single-user operations to businesses with about 300 users. Under its Give IT to Griffin® philosophy, GTG provides managed IT services, cybersecurity, technical support and technology guidance at CTO and CIO level.

As more of its invoicing, expenses and procurement moved into ConnectWise PSA (formerly ConnectWise Manage), GTG needed a dependable link to Sage 50 US, the accounting system it has used from the start. Zynk now provides that link.

Challenge

GTG has run its accounts on Sage 50 US for its whole 25-year history and has used ConnectWise for more than a decade. The challenge began when the business moved invoicing and expenses out of Sage and into ConnectWise. From then on, every transaction had to cross from one system to the other, either keyed in again by hand or carried over by an integration.

GTG first used Mobius to bridge the gap. When support ended for the REST API it relied on, that integration stopped working, just as transaction volumes in ConnectWise were climbing through 2024. The team needed a replacement it could depend on. After researching the options, founder and CEO John Griffin chose Zynk as the best fit.

Solution

GTG connected ConnectWise to Sage 50 US with Zynk, replacing manual entry with an automated flow. Onboarding went smoothly. At first, GTG's internal processes called for some complex custom development. The team later simplified things by unwinding those custom setups and going back to Zynk's standard settings, and Zynk's team stayed responsive throughout.

Zynk now handles the day-to-day transactions between the two systems:

• Customer invoices. Invoices raised in ConnectWise are posted to Sage 50 US automatically.
• Employee expenses. Expenses captured in ConnectWise sync to the accounts.
• Procurement. Purchase orders and the ordering process flow through to Sage 50 US.

Accounts payable with Yooz

To automate accounts payable too, GTG added Yooz. A key reason for choosing it was that Yooz is a Zynk partner and uses Zynk for its Sage connection. The Yooz workflow is deployed and, at the time of writing (November 2026), still in testing. It's already processing incoming data correctly.

The result is one connected finance setup, with ConnectWise, Yooz and Sage 50 US all working from the same data.

Results

• Hours of keying removed. Invoices, expenses and purchase orders created in ConnectWise reach Sage 50 US without anyone re-keying them.
• Far fewer errors. John says the errors that come with manual entry have been virtually eliminated, so the accounts team can trust that Sage 50 US matches what happened in ConnectWise.
• Growth without extra admin. GTG has grown without adding people to process its finance transactions. John says the business would find it hard to operate without the integration, and that Zynk's support and sales have become more structured over the past year.
