Sage 50 Integration

Zynk's Sage 50 integration connects all three Sage 50 products, the UK, US and Canadian editions, to ecommerce stores, marketplaces, CRMs and shipping tools. Sales orders, invoices and customers flow into Sage 50 and stock flows back out. The editions share a name but not their software, so each has its own connector: choose yours below.

Capabilities may differ depending on the product.

Benefits

Why businesses connect Sage 50

The right connector for your region

Sage 50 UK, Sage 50 US and the Canadian Edition are separate products with different data structures and tax rules. Zynk has a dedicated connector for each, so nothing is forced through a one-size-fits-all mapping.

Local tax handled properly

UK VAT and Making Tax Digital, US sales tax agencies, and Canadian GST, HST, PST and QST all work differently. Tax rates from your sales channels are mapped to the codes your edition actually uses.

Orders straight into Sage 50

Web and marketplace orders arrive in Sage 50 as sales orders or invoices, with customers matched or created along the way, whichever edition you run.

Stock that matches the shelf

Stock records, inventory or items, depending on your edition, export from Sage 50 to your sales channels, so online availability reflects what you actually hold.

No SDK code to maintain

Every edition of Sage 50 is desktop software reached through Sage's SDK rather than a web API. Zynk manages that connection for you, so your team never writes or updates SDK code.

The problem

Why integrate Sage 50?

Sage 50 is often the first accounting system a growing business buys, and it is usually surrounded by newer tools: an online store, a marketplace account, a CRM. Without integration someone types every order and customer into Sage 50, and that job grows faster than the team does.

Without integration

  • Orders copied from the web store into Sage 50 by hand
  • Overselling because Sage 50 stock and the website disagree
  • The same customer created twice, once in each system
  • Generic integrations that ignore regional tax rules

With Zynk

  • Orders import into Sage 50 automatically in the UK, US and Canadian editions
  • Stock exported from Sage 50 keeps the website accurate
  • Customers matched or created once, then kept consistent
  • Tax mapped to the codes your edition uses

How it works

How the Sage 50 integration works

  1. Step 1: Confirm your edition

We check whether you run Sage 50 UK, US or the Canadian Edition, plus the version and where it is installed, because each affects how Zynk connects.

  2. Step 2: Connect

Zynk connects to your Sage 50 company through Sage's SDK and to your web store, marketplace or CRM, with no code for your team to write.

  3. Step 3: Map

Products, customers, tax codes and accounts are mapped once, using the terms your edition uses, such as nominal codes in the UK or general ledger accounts in North America.

  4. Step 4: Run

Workflows run on a schedule and alert you when something needs a person, such as a product code that does not exist in Sage 50 yet.

Sage 50 and Shopify

Shopify orders import into Sage 50 as sales orders, and stock exported from Sage 50 keeps the store accurate, in each of the three editions.

Sage 50 and Salesforce

New Salesforce accounts become Sage 50 customers, and in the UK and US editions invoice details can go back so sales teams see what has been billed.

Sage 50 integration FAQs

Is Sage 50 the same product in the UK, US and Canada?
No. Sage 50 is the name of three separate products. Sage 50 UK, Sage 50 US and Sage 50 Canadian Edition differ in data structure, tax handling and features, so the right integration depends on which one you run.
Which Sage 50 edition do I have?
In the UK you are on Sage 50 Accounts, sometimes sold as Sage 50cloud. In the US it is Sage 50 US, formerly Peachtree. In Canada it is the Sage 50 Canadian Edition, formerly Simply Accounting. The product name appears on your login screen.
Is there a Sage 50 API?
None of the editions offers a modern web API. Sage 50 UK, US and Canada are desktop applications that integrate through Sage's SDK, and Zynk maintains those connections so your other systems can exchange data without custom development.
Can Zynk post marketplace orders into Sage 50?
Yes. Orders from Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces can import into Sage 50 as sales orders or invoices, in the UK, US and Canadian editions, with customers matched or created as part of the same workflow.
Can payments be posted to Sage 50 automatically?
In the UK and US editions, yes. Zynk can import payments and receipts, and in Sage 50 UK allocate them against invoices. The Canadian connector exports receipts but does not import them, so payment handling there is scoped during set-up.
Can one business run more than one Sage 50 edition with Zynk?
Yes. Groups with companies in the UK and North America often run Sage 50 UK alongside Sage 50 US or the Canadian Edition. Each company uses its own connector, and workflows can route orders from a shared store to the right one.
Which systems can Sage 50 connect to?
Popular pairings include Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Amazon, eBay, Salesforce, HubSpot, ShipStation and Linnworks. The list differs slightly by edition, so the connector page for your edition shows the systems and tasks that apply.
