Google Sheets Integration

Zynk's Google Sheets integration reads the spreadsheets your team already keeps and sends the data on to accounting, ERP and CRM systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Salesforce and HubSpot. Rows become invoices, orders or records automatically, on a schedule or on demand, so nobody has to copy them across by hand.

Benefits

Why businesses connect Google Sheets

Every row turned into a record

Zynk Workflow loops through each row of a sheet and runs tasks for every record, such as raising a sales invoice in Sage for each line your team adds, using the column headings to name each field.

Every worksheet, not just the first

Spreadsheets with a tab per month, region or salesperson are handled too. Zynk can repeat over each worksheet in a file and run the same tasks for every one, so nothing on a later tab gets missed.

CSV or XML when you need it

Convert a sheet into a CSV or XML file for systems that import data in those formats, or as a step before the data is reshaped and passed to another connector in the same workflow.

Your own Google sign-in

Connect by signing in with your Google account. Zynk only asks for permission to see your Google Sheets spreadsheets, so it can read the data it needs but has no permission to edit your sheets.

Mapped to your columns

Mappings are tailored to your sheet, so each column lines up with the right field in the target system and your team can keep working in the layout they already know.

Scheduled or on demand

Run imports on a schedule for routine jobs, such as a weekly expenses sheet, or trigger them on demand when a batch needs to move straight away.

The problem

Why integrate Google Sheets?

Spreadsheets are where plenty of work starts: price changes, sales rep orders, expense claims, new customer details. Getting those rows into Sage, Xero or a CRM usually means retyping them or wrestling with an import template, and every manual step risks a typo, a skipped row or a duplicate.

Without integration

  • Rows retyped from a shared sheet into the accounts
  • Import templates rebuilt every time a sheet changes shape
  • Sheets downloaded as CSV and uploaded somewhere else by hand
  • Missed rows and duplicates discovered at month end

With Zynk

  • Each row becomes an invoice, order or record automatically
  • Columns are mapped once to the fields the target system needs
  • Sheets convert to CSV or XML inside the workflow
  • Every row is processed in turn, with results your team can check

How it works

How the Google Sheets integration works

  1. Step 1: Sign in to Google

Create a Google Sheets connection by signing in with your Google account and approving Zynk Workflow's request to see your spreadsheets.

  2. Step 2: Choose the sheet and range

Pick the spreadsheet, the worksheet and the range of cells to read, and say whether the first row holds column headings that should name each field.

  3. Step 3: Map the columns

Line up each column with the field it belongs to in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or your CRM, and decide what each row should become, such as an invoice, an order or a contact.

  4. Step 4: Set it running

Schedule the integration for routine imports or run it on demand. Zynk works through the rows and creates the matching records in the connected system.

Google Sheets integration FAQs

Can I send Google Sheets data to Sage?
Yes. Zynk reads rows from a Google Sheet and sends them to Sage, for example creating a sales invoice for each row. The same approach works for Xero, QuickBooks and NetSuite, with your columns mapped to the fields each system needs.
How do I import a Google Sheet into Xero automatically?
Connect Google Sheets and Xero to Zynk Workflow, map your columns to Xero's fields and set a schedule. Each run reads the sheet and creates the matching records in Xero, such as invoices, so nobody has to download and upload files.
Does Zynk change my Google Sheets data?
No. Zynk only asks for permission to see your Google Sheets spreadsheets, and it reads the data to send elsewhere. Your sheet stays exactly as your team left it, so people can carry on working in it while integrations run.
Can Zynk process every worksheet in a spreadsheet?
Yes. As well as looping through the rows of a single sheet, Zynk can repeat over each worksheet in a spreadsheet and run tasks for every one. That suits files with a separate tab for each month, region or sales rep.
Can I convert a Google Sheet to CSV or XML?
Yes. Zynk can turn a Google Sheet into a CSV or XML file inside a workflow. That helps when the system you are loading into imports files in those formats, or when the data needs reshaping before it reaches another connector.
How often can a Google Sheets integration run?
As often as the work needs. Routine imports can run on a schedule, such as hourly or nightly, and one-off batches can be triggered on demand when something has to move into your accounts or CRM straight away.
Can Google Sheets send data to a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot?
Yes. The same workflow approach that creates invoices in Sage or Xero can create records in a CRM, such as new contacts or companies captured in a shared sheet. Columns are mapped to the CRM's fields so each row lands in the right place.
Do I need a developer to connect Google Sheets?
Zynk Workflow is low-code. Connecting Google Sheets is a sign-in with your Google account, and mappings are configured rather than written as code. Prefer to hand the job over? Our integration team can build the workflow with you and look after it once it is live.
