Choco Integration

Zynk's Choco integration links the Choco ordering app to the ERP or accounting system behind a food and drink wholesaler. Orders that restaurants place in Choco arrive in Sage, Business Central or Xero as sales orders, while your product range, customer-specific prices and order guides flow into Choco from the system that owns them. It suits distributors supplying hospitality customers.

Benefits

Why businesses connect Choco

Restaurant orders straight into the ERP

New Choco orders are collected from Choco's queue and created as sales orders in your ERP, ready for picking and invoicing. Nobody retypes an order that a chef has already placed in the app.

Orders acknowledged, never lost

Once an order is safely in your back office, Zynk notifies Choco, which removes it from the queue of new orders. Anything not yet processed stays queued, so an interrupted run never skips an order.

Prices that match the invoice

Contract and customer-specific prices import into Choco from your price lists, so each restaurant orders at the rate it will be invoiced at and your credit control team fields fewer pricing queries.

One product range to maintain

Products are created or updated in Choco from your ERP item list, matched on Choco's ID or your own reference. New lines and changed descriptions reach buyers without anyone keeping a second catalogue by hand.

Order guides ready for each account

Zynk links products to each customer's order guide in Choco, so a restaurant opens the app and sees the lines it usually buys rather than searching through your whole range.

The problem

Why integrate Choco?

Choco makes ordering simple for restaurants, but the supplier still has to process every order. Without integration, each one is rekeyed into the ERP, prices in the app drift away from contract rates and new products must be added in two places. Tight order cut-offs leave little time for any of it.

Without integration

  • Choco orders retyped into the ERP before the warehouse can pick them
  • Restaurants seeing standard prices instead of their agreed rates
  • New products set up in the ERP but missing from the app
  • Orders processed twice, or missed, when someone loses their place
  • Buyers scrolling the full range to find their usual lines

With Zynk

  • Choco orders arrive in the ERP as sales orders, ready to pick
  • Customer-specific prices import into Choco from your price lists
  • Products import into Choco when they are created or changed in the ERP
  • Each processed order is acknowledged in Choco and leaves the queue
  • Order guides list the products each customer normally orders

How it works

How the Choco integration works

  1. Step 1: Get your Choco credentials

Choco sets up a custom integration for your account and issues an API key, client ID, client secret and connection ID. Zynk uses these, and can run against Choco's sandbox before going live.

  2. Step 2: Map customers and products

Match Choco customers to ERP account codes and Choco products to your item codes, then decide which price list or price band supplies each customer's prices.

  3. Step 3: Process the order queue

Each run exports the oldest new orders from Choco, creates them in the ERP and passes the successful ones back as order notifications, so Choco only clears orders that really arrived.

  4. Step 4: Keep the catalogue current

Separate scheduled workflows push product, price and order guide changes into Choco, for example every evening after your buyers update prices in the ERP.

Choco integration FAQs

How do I get Choco orders into Sage 200?
Zynk exports new Choco orders and creates them in Sage 200 as sales orders. It also imports products and customer prices into Choco from Sage 200 stock records and price bands. Each order is acknowledged in Choco once Sage 200 has accepted it.
How does Zynk connect to Choco?
Zynk connects through Choco's API using credentials Choco issues when it sets up an integration for your account: an API key, client ID, client secret and connection ID. A sandbox environment can be used while the workflow is being built and tested.
What happens to an order after it leaves Choco?
Choco holds new orders in a queue until they are acknowledged. Zynk exports the oldest orders first, creates them in your ERP, then sends a notification for each one that succeeded. Any order that failed stays in the queue for the next run.
Can each restaurant see its own prices in Choco?
Yes. Zynk imports customer-specific pricing into Choco from your ERP price lists or price bands. Each restaurant then orders at the rates agreed for its account, keeping the order placed in Choco consistent with the invoice it receives later.
What is a Choco order guide?
An order guide is the list of products a restaurant orders from a supplier, organised so staff can reorder quickly. Zynk can link products to each customer's order guide using your ERP data, so new accounts start with the right lines already in place.
Can a small supplier run Choco alongside Xero or QuickBooks?
Yes. Suppliers that invoice from Xero or QuickBooks Online can have Choco orders raised there as invoices, with items held in the accounting system used as the product list in Choco. This suits smaller suppliers that do not run a separate ERP for sales orders.
