Warehouse Management System

Peoplevox Integration

Zynk's Peoplevox integration links Descartes Peoplevox, the warehouse management system built for ecommerce, to the accounting, ERP, order management and web store systems around it. Sales orders, purchase orders, customers, suppliers and item types flow into Peoplevox for picking and receiving. Despatch summaries, goods ins, returns and stock levels flow back out, so finance and the warehouse share one picture.

Benefits

Why businesses connect Peoplevox

Orders reach the pick face sooner

Sales orders import into Peoplevox from your web store, order management or ERP system as soon as they are released. Nobody exports a file or rekeys an order before the warehouse team can start picking.

Despatch confirmed where it matters

Despatch summaries export from Peoplevox once parcels leave the building. Zynk passes them to Sage, your ERP or the store, so order status, invoicing and customer tracking follow the physical despatch instead of trailing behind it.

Stock figures that agree

Inventory, item availability and item movements export from Peoplevox to the systems that sell and value your stock. Sales channels only offer what can be picked, and finance can trace the movement behind every stock change.

Deliveries booked in against the order

Purchase orders and suppliers import into Peoplevox before a delivery arrives. When the stock is received, goods ins export back to your accounts or ERP, so purchasing sees receipts against each order without chasing the warehouse for a spreadsheet.

New lines and kits ready in advance

Item types and item type kittings import from your ERP or product master, so new products and bundles exist in Peoplevox before the first order for them lands. Product data is maintained once, in the system that owns it.

Returns visible outside the warehouse

Returns summaries export from Peoplevox, giving customer service and finance a reliable record of what has come back and when, so they can act on it without walking down to the returns bench to ask.

The problem

Why integrate Peoplevox?

Peoplevox runs the warehouse, but orders start somewhere else and the money is counted somewhere else again. Without integration, someone uploads order files to the WMS, keys despatches back into the accounts and reconciles stock by hand. At peak, that admin lands exactly when the warehouse is busiest and errors cost the most.

Without integration

  • Orders exported from the web store and uploaded to Peoplevox in batches
  • Parcels despatched in the warehouse but still open in the accounts
  • Purchase orders retyped into the WMS before every delivery
  • Stock values in the accounts drifting away from what is on the shelf
  • New products and kits missing in Peoplevox when the first order arrives

With Zynk

  • Sales orders import into Peoplevox as soon as they are released
  • Despatch summaries post back so orders are closed and invoiced on time
  • Purchase orders and suppliers import ahead of each delivery
  • Inventory and item movements export to keep stock records aligned
  • Item types and kittings import from your product master

How it works

How the Peoplevox integration works

  1. Step 1: Connect the warehouse and its feeders

Zynk connects to your Peoplevox account with credentials from your Peoplevox administrator, and to the store, ERP or accounting system that sends the warehouse its work.

  2. Step 2: Agree items, sites and services

Match your SKUs to Peoplevox item types, map Peoplevox sites and service types to the locations and carriers your other systems use, and decide which order statuses release work to the warehouse.

  3. Step 3: Test with genuine orders

Run a sample of genuine sales orders, purchase orders and returns through the workflow, then check that despatch summaries and goods ins land correctly in the receiving system before go-live.

  4. Step 4: Leave it running

Order imports and despatch exports run on frequent schedules. Anything Peoplevox rejects, such as an unknown item type or a missing customer, raises an alert for your team to fix.

Peoplevox integration FAQs

Will Peoplevox work alongside Sage 200?
Yes. Zynk sends Sage 200 sales orders, purchase orders and stock records to Peoplevox, and posts despatches and goods received notes back into Sage 200. Online Home Shop uses Zynk to connect Sage 200, Peoplevox and Linnworks, keeping warehouse and accounts aligned through peak trading.
Is Sage 50 supported with Peoplevox too?
Yes. Sage 50 sales orders and purchase orders can be released to Peoplevox, and despatch notes and goods received notes come back into Sage 50 once the warehouse has done the work. Stock in Sage 50 then reflects real despatches and receipts.
How do Shopify orders get into Peoplevox?
Zynk exports new orders and customers from Shopify and imports them into Peoplevox as sales orders. When the warehouse despatches, Zynk sends the details back to Shopify as fulfilments and updates inventory, so the customer receives tracking and the store shows current stock.
Can Zynk keep stock levels in step between Peoplevox and my sales channels?
Yes. Zynk exports inventory and item availability from Peoplevox and updates stock in Shopify, Magento, Linnworks and other channels on a schedule you choose. Because figures come from the warehouse system, the channels only offer stock that can actually be picked.
Does the Peoplevox integration handle purchase orders and goods in?
Yes. Purchase orders and suppliers import into Peoplevox ahead of each delivery, so the warehouse knows what to expect. Once stock is booked in, goods ins export back to Sage or your ERP to update stock and match the receipt against the original order.
Is coding needed to link Peoplevox with other systems?
No. Zynk Workflow is low-code, and our team configures the Peoplevox connection, mappings and schedules with you during onboarding. Changes such as a new sales channel or an extra site are handled in Zynk rather than through custom code.
Where does a Peoplevox integration project start?
It starts with a short call about how orders reach your warehouse today and which systems need despatch and stock data back. From there we recommend the workflows that remove the most manual steps first and outline what going live involves.
